Preseason hockey tourney slated

    The third annual Holiday Face-Off Tournament, sponsored by the John Bapst Hockey Boosters, will take place on Friday, Nov. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 27 at the Penobscot Ice Arena in Brewer.
    This annual high school hockey tournament brings together area teams for first competitive action of the season. Participating this year are teams from John Bapst, Houlton, Presque Isle, Old Town and Brewer.
    Admission is $5 per person. Refreshments are available.

    Friday’s schedule will be as follows:
    Brewer/Presque Isle, 1-2 p.m.; Old Town/Houlton, 2:20-3:20 p.m.; Presque Isle/John Bapst, 3:40-4:40 p.m.; Brewer/Houlton, 5-6 p.m. and finishing the evening will be John Bapst/Old Town, 6:20-7:20 p.m.
    On Saturday, Brewer/Old Town, 8-9 a.m.; Houlton/Presque Isle, 11:40-12:40 p.m.; John Bapst/TBA, 1-2 p.m.; Old Town/Presque Isle, 2:20-3:20 p.m; Houlton/John Bapst, 3:40-4:40 p.m. and finishing the tournament, the top two teams will meet in a game starting at 5 p.m.
