PRESQUE ISLE — The Presque Isle swim team was overpowered by the reigning state Class A champions Bangor High School Saturday at Husson College. The girls team lost 145-29, while the boys fell 142-26.
On a positive note, three Wildcat swimmers qualified for the state competition thanks to their strong individual performances. Issac Estey qualified in the 100-yard breaststroke, 50 freestyle and 200 free; Erica Hemphill qualified in the 100 butterfly, 50 free and 200 free; and Shae Adler qualified in the 100 free.
