SAUNDERS, Lori L., 43, PRESQUE ISLE, December 29, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, Parish of the Precious Blood, Caribou. A reception will follow at the American Legion in Caribou. Spring interment will take place at the old Holy Rosary cemetery in Caribou.
PRESQUE ISLE – Lori L. Saunders, 43, passed away on December 29, 2010 after a courageous, brief battle with cancer.
Lori was born in Caribou, Maine on February 16, 1967. She was a hard worker and had the gift of making people smile that she had shown in her many years of being a waitress.
Surviving, in addition to her companion, Michael Corey of Washburn, who provided the utmost, compassionate care for Lori during her illness; her mother, Mary Saunders of Caribou; one son, Brian Saunders of Bangor; three brothers, Eugene Saunders of Caribou, Michael Saunders of Thompson, Conn. and Carroll Saunders, Jr. of Glen-Allen, Va.; a granddaughter, Hannah; and several nephews, Allen, Christopher, Zachary and a niece Michaela. In addition, special friends Sherida and Joni. Lori also held special affection for Brandon and Brittany.
Lori was predeceased by her father, Carroll Saunders in 1999.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, Parish of the Precious Blood, Caribou, with Pastor, V. Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie officiating on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow the funeral Mass at the American Legion in Caribou. Please join us. Spring Interment will take place at the old Holy Rosary Cemetery in Caribou.
