PRESQUE ISLE – Husson University has unveiled a new Master of Business Administration program. The comprehensive program focuses on enhancing professional business education offerings for Maine and northern New England.
“The new MBA program will provide additional options for both full-time students and working professionals,” said President Robert Clark. “The content and scope will include a global perspective reflective of today’s business community.”
The new MBA program incorporates an executive MBA for those progressing from an undergraduate degree in business. This degree encompasses 36 credit hours of study in graduate business courses. Students may now enroll now for courses.
“The MBA is one of the most sought-after degrees in business. The business faculty have extensive experience in industry and academia which results in a contemporary and relevant learning environment,” said Ronald Nykiel, dean of the School of Business.
Husson will discontinue its current Master of Science in Business program.
Mid-year 2011, Husson plans to roll out a new “Enhanced MBA” for individuals who have completed their undergraduate degree in a field other than business.
“Both degrees in the new MBA program will be available at Husson campuses in Bangor, Portland, and Presque Isle by year end 2011,” said Husson Provost Dr. Lynne Coy-Ogan. “In the future, we will look at expanding our delivery though additional online course offerings and interactive video communications.”
The cost for the Husson MBA will be competitive and aligned with other graduate degree programs.
