Big East statistics
The Big East Conference posted statistics for its basketball league and PI Wildcat players are at or near the top of the rankings in a number of categories.
For boys, Travis Dyer is third (12.83 points per game) and Oliver Zubrick is fourth (12.33) in scoring. Zubrick is sixth in field goal percentage at 51.92 percent and Alx Tuttle is eight at 50.94 percent.
Dyer is the third-leading three-point shooter in the Big East at 40.63 percent. Tuttle is third in rebounding with an average of 8.33 per game and Zubrick is fifth at 6.5 per game.
On the girls’ side, Kayla Richards is ranked sixth in scoring at 12.33 ppg, with Chandler Guerrette ninth at 10.33 ppg. Richards is also second in field goal percentage at 46.55 percent and Guerrette is seventh at 43.18 percent. Richards is the second-leading free throw shooter with a 71.43 clip and Guerrette is seventh at 65.22 percent.
Megan Ireland has connected on 40 percent of her three-point attempts, good for second in the league. Karlee Bernier is sixth at 33 percent. Meredith Stewart is fifth in rebounding, averaging 8.5 per contest. Guerrette is third in steals at 3.5 per game, Richards is fifth at 3.33 per game, Chelsea Nickerson seventh at 3 per game and Bernier ninth at 2.83 per game.
For assists, Guerrette is second with 3.67 per game and Richards is fourth with 3.33 per game.
