Hebert, Mabel Marie, 77, of Limestone, at Houlton, on January 21, 2011. A fumeral mass will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church in Limestone at 11 a.m., January 26. Arrangements are in the care of Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, Caribou.


AR Mabel HebertLIMESTONE – Mabel Marie Hebert passed away peacefully on January 21, 2011, in Houlton, Maine at the age of 77. A devoted wife, mother and friend to many, she was born on August 27, 1933, in Siegas, New Brunswick to Joseph and Lena (Ouellette) LeFrancois. She married her wonderful husband, Romeo Hebert, and they shared 53 years together until he preceded her in death in 2004. She was a lifelong resident of Limestone and retired in 1996 as the head cook in the elementary school, after serving for many years. She always enjoyed her hobby of painting and was a long-time member of the Ladies of St Anne.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jeannette Cones; and her brother, Reno LeFrancois. She is survived by Alcide LeFrancois (Grace) of Magalia, Calif.; O’Neil LeFrancois (Helen) of Nevada City, Calif.; Germaine Turcotte (Rene) of Houlton; Florence Turcotte (Alfred) of Palatine Ill.; Nelson LeFrancois (Cecelia) of Tacoma, Wash.; Robert LeFrancois (Georgette) of McMinnville, Ore.; Gilford LeFrancois (Joan) of Nevada City, Calif.; and Jean Deane (Wilfred) of Buckfield, Maine. She is also survived by her children, Christine Hickey (Tom) of Kent, Wash. and Earl Hebert (Terri) of Nashua, N.H.; as well as grandchildren, Laurie Hickey of Pullman, Wash. and Juliana and Michael Hebert, both of Nashua, N.H.

Perhaps most of all, she will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness and consideration. She was always thinking of ways to help people and doing things for them.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church in Limestone at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. A recitation of the rosary will precede the mass at 10:30 a.m. in the church. Interment will take place in the spring at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Limestone. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in lieu of flowers.
