BAR HARBOR – The regular season ended successfully for the Caribou varsity wrestling team and coach Todd Albert is hoping that success will translate into strong performances at upcoming championship meets.
Caribou won four more dual meets Saturday and finished with an impressive record of 21-2.
Seven of the team’s wrestlers held perfect 4-0 marks in Saturday’s matches at Mount Desert Island High School. That group included Jason Case, Brendon Wood, Dustin Green, Lance Jandreau, Jake Maher, Deion Caudill and Adam Thibodeau.
“I like how some of the guys are wrestling really well and getting ready for the end of the season tournaments,” Albert said. “I think if we can have some real good performances, we can find ourselves right in the mix for the Penobscot Valley Conference championship.”
The PVC meet is set for this Saturday at Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln beginning at 9 a.m.
