WRIGHT, Ronald G., 80, PERHAM, at Caribou, February 2, 2011. Spring interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Perham. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

American Flag ColorPERHAM – Ronald G. Wright, 80, died Wednesday night, February 2, 2011, at the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou. He was born in Easton on June 24, 1930, the son of Horace and Elizabeth (MacDougal) Wright.

He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during WWII in the South Pacific.

Ronald worked many years in maintenance at Taterstate, Potato Service, A&P, Johnson Products, and McCain Foods.

He was a wonderful husband and father. He loved to fish and always had a sense of humor.

He is survived by his son, Barry Wright and his wife, Kimberley of Mapleton; a daughter, Rhonda Schaefer and her husband, George of Windham; a sister, Shirley Eastman of Hodgdon; three grandchildren: Melissa Soucier and her husband, Tony of Presque Isle, Elizabeth and Emily Wright of Mapleton; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Cassidy Soucier of Presque Isle.

Ron was predeceased by his wife, Betty Lou (Carter) Wright; a brother, Gene Wright; and a sister, Alice Flynn.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m., Mon., Feb. 7, 2011, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle, with Reverends Kenneth Fox and George McLaughlin officiating. Friends called 10 a.m., until time of service at the funeral home. Spring interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Perham.
