There’s nothing like a little bit of chocolate to drive away those winter blahs — so just imagine what an entire gymnasium full of the delicious sweet treat could do.
On Saturday, Feb. 12, the Caribou Children’s Discovery Museum will once again be providing a day’s full of chocolate-themed events, the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of chocolate goodies topped off with an auction with more than 100 items just waiting for your bid, a truffle making demonstration and Papi’s Magic Show. Special guests appearances will also be made by some very clever clowns.
The popular event will be going on from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Caribou Recreation and Wellness Center on Bennett Drive in Caribou. Coupon booklets containing 13 tickets will be sold for $10 or six coupons for $5. Each coupon may be used to select a chocolate treat from the tremendous variety of choices.
An admission donation of $2 will be requested from those who do not wish to purchase a coupon booklet.
The auction will begin at 11 a.m. and throughout the day there will be activities for kids including a bouncy house, WONKA bingo, face painting, making S’mores, and a chance to compete in the chocolate pudding eating contest, to name only a few.
Proceeds from this event go to help making the Caribou Children’s Discovery Museum become a reality.
