DUDLEY, Wilma Margaret Ford, 85, SIMPSONVILLE, SC, February 7, 2011. Arrangements are in the care of Wood-Mortuary in Greer, SC.

SIMPSONVILLE, SC – Wilma Margaret Ford Dudley, 85, died in her sleep after a long illness on Monday, February 7, 2011. Born on April 29, 1925, in Mars Hill, to the late William Sidney and Anna Beatrice Currie Ford, she was the widow of Carroll Edward Dudley.

After his retirement from the Air Force, they made their home in Sumter, SC, where she was a member of Bible Fellowship Church and Sumter Bible Church. Following their move to Simpsonville, she became a member of Beth Haven Baptist Church. She was devoted to her family and was known for sharing her love for the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Predeceased by brothers: Ralph E. Ford and Horace W. Ford; and a sister, Mary F. Bell.

She is survived by brothers: Charles Vernon Ford and William S. Ford; and a sister, Glenna F. Pillsbury; her children: Susan Glenna Dudley Johnson of Enoree, SC, Stephen Carroll Dudley and his wife, Jan of Cayce, SC, and Sharon Margaret Dudley Fogle and her husband, Terry of New Mexico; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the many dedicated professionals of the Greenville Hospital System and NHC Mauldin who took such good care of her in recent months.

Visitation was at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Beth Haven Baptist Church immediately followed at noon by the funeral service. Burial followed in Graceland East Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to Bible Fellowship Church, 227 Broad Street, Sumter, SC 29150, and Beth Haven Baptist Church, 721 Neely Ferry Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
