Once again, local residents should be on their best behavior (no — Santa’s not coming to town again this month) as the Caribou Kiwanis Club’s Keystone Kops will be out and about on Feb. 25, “arresting” citizens who will find themselves pleading their case before the “judge” at the American Legion Post Home.
A major fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club, those wishing to have a friend, co-worker, spouse or — their boss arrested and jailed (save your breath — pleading innocent won’t help a bit) should purchase an arrest warrant for $10 and the Kops will do the rest.
Arrest warrants are available now through Friday, Feb. 25 at Caribou One-Stop; Caribou Food Trend; the Caribou Chamber of Commerce office; or from any Kiwanis member. Warrants may also be secured by calling the America Legion at 498-2844 on the day of the event from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
So citizens beware, the Keystone Kops will be on patrol and if you hear a whistle blowing, you may very well be on your way to jail.
All proceeds from this event benefit local Kiwanis charities.
