FORTY MEMBERS of the Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club are pictured here spelling out “MAINE” during the annual Andy Santerre Sno-Run, benefiting AMHC. Included in the county outline are other participating riders in the Sno-Run. The NASCAR drivers and friends of Andy Santerre are standing by their sleds. Special thanks to Paul Cyr who took the photo, and Gene Lynch II who flew over the field allowing for the photo op. The successful event took place Feb. 12. In the photo, the old, smaller clubhouse can be seen in the far left, while the new, log cabin-style clubhouse is pictured in the center.

The proceeds from the annual Sno-Run, dinner and auction benefit AMHC and Aroostook County children who are victims of sexual assault. Andy Santerre brings his fellow NASCAR drivers to participate in the Sno-Run and auction. Chapman Ridge Runners hosted the luncheon for the run, and the riders made a loop ride on trails groomed by the Chapman Ridge Runners and the Walker Siding Snowmobile Club. According to organizers, the riders were very complimentary of Chapman’s new clubhouse, the meal that was served and the well-groomed trails.

The youngest participant in the snow photo was Mason Archer, the 8-month-old son of Travis and April Archer of Presque Isle, and the oldest was Mac Weaver, 80, also from Presque Isle.
