Waterville — Loretta (Martin) Knight, 87, of Limestone, Maine, died Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Inland Hospital in Waterville, with her loving family by her side.
Loretta was born in Van Buren, Maine, on July 19, 1923, the daughter of Arthur and Rose (Devoe) Martin. She graduated from high school in Van Buren.
She married Charles Sheldon Knight in July 1941 and began sharing the responsibility of running the Knight Brother’s Farms in Limestone and in raising their four children.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Page and husband, David of Oakland, Maine; Brenda Morley and husband, Jim of Cartersville, Georgia; Judy Knight of Mediapolis, Iowa; and daughter-in-law Patricia (Bell) Knight of Winchester, New Hampshire. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Loretta was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles Sheldon Knight and son, Kenneth.
A spring memorial service will be held in Limestone, Maine.
