It didn’t take long for residents ready for a relaxing time prior to the holiday rush, to fill up the seats at the long tables already set with tablecloths and festive decoration. Guests who arrived early didn’t stay idle for very long once local musicians, Charlene (Burgay) and Friends, struck up their instruments and the music started flowing. Dancing to tunes ranging from favorite holiday lyrics to familiar county favorites, with some Elvis included for good measure, the atmosphere was filled with friendship.
During the afternoon affair, residents from the Maine Veterans’ Home in Caribou were also guests of honor.
