ISLAND FALLS and HAMILTON, MA – Angela Hunt nee Parinno, 93, passed away Feb. 24th at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was the daughter of Joseph and Carmilla Parrino of Charlestown, Mass.
Angela and her late husband, Harmon, lived for many years in Hamilton, Mass. where he built sailboats in their backyard. Angela and Harmon and their son, the late Curtis Hunt, sailed to the Caribbean islands and back for many years. Very small in stature and legally blind, Ann climbed masts and dove into the ocean.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Tamara King and her two sons, Shilo and Ranier and Destinee DiPrima and her twin daughters, Madison and Morgan; her beloved daughter-in-law, Joan (Hunt) Gallantapi of Coral Springs, FL; brother-in-law, Roger Hunt of Ocala, FL; and sister-in-law, Janet Hunt of Portland. She will be sorely miss by her many nieces and nephew. Mrs. Hunt was predeceased by her entire family: her husband, Harmon; only son, Curtis Harmon Hunt; brother, Anthony, who was in the U.S. Navy and was killed in WWII; her sister, Laura; her other brother, Richard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14th at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Following will be a brief ceremony in the Island Falls Cemetery. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, 54 Sherman Street, Island Falls.
