LIMESTONE & CARIBOU – Arthur L. Butler, 74, passed away Thursday morning, March 10, 2011, at a Caribou nursing facility. He was born August 3, 1936, in Caswell, the son of Kenneth B. and Iva (Levesque) Butler. He was a lifelong communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, attending St. Denis, St. Louis and Sacred Heart Catholic Churches.

 

In addition to his parents, Arthur was predeceased by three sisters, Sara Harvey, Edna Fortus and Helen Ieva. He is survived by three brothers, Kenneth Butler and his wife Rita of Caribou, Otis “Buster” Butler and his wife Theresa of Plainville, Conn., George Butler of Frenchville; one sister, Barbara Hamlin of Las Vegas, NV; one brother-in-law, Mahlon Clifford “Bud” Harvey of Limestone; numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Arthur’s wishes, there will be no services. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield will take place later in the spring. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Butler to the charity or organization of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
