LUDLOW – Stanley “Buss” Howe, 91, died March 12, 2011, in Houlton. He was born May 5, 1920 in Island Falls, the son of Forrest and Mary (Byers) Howe.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired dairy farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Arlene (Johnson) Howe of Houlton; children, Forrest “Sonny” Howe and his wife, Joanne, of New Limerick, Mary Goodall and her husband, Dwayne, of Littleton and Sally Callnan and her husband, Thomas, all of New Limerick; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lavona Varney of Houlton, Phyllis Worthley of Hodgdon and Joanne Drake of California; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; two sons, Richard and David; daughter, Connie; and grandson, Forrest Edward Howe III.
