HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Police Department is investigating a home burglary that occurred sometime between Wednesday, March 9 and Saturday, March 12.
According to investigating officer Kris Calaman, the 3 Pearce Ave. home of Roger Holck was broken into while Holck was out of town for work. An individual or individuals entered the residence by smashing the window out of the kitchen door.
Once inside, the perpetrators rummaged through the residence, searching kitchen cabinets, medicine cabinets, an office area and bedrooms. An amount of cash was taken from the property as well as additional items. A complete inventory of items stolen was not available.
“I don’t see this incident as a trend for Houlton,” Police Chief Butch Asselin said. “We do get burglary reports, but it’s not like larger cities such as Bangor.”
Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to call Officer Calaman at the Houlton Police Department at 532-2287.
