They hosted a Fat Tuesday pancake supper with a Mardi Gras theme. Attendees were greeted at the door and given a beaded necklace to wear and were served by volunteers wearing colorful handmade masks. Volunteering as cooks and servers were, from left: Heidi Nunez, Louise McPherson, Saul Nunez, Chuck Matson, Lyle Kenney, Alma Pelletier, Dawn Kenney and Caroline Ballerstein.

Build and Grow workshop

Mapleton Brownie Troop 1133 recently invited family members to one of their meetings to participate in a Build and Grow workshop sponsored by Lowe’s. Each of the troop members invited a parent to help them construct a wooden ball toss. The girls worked together with their mother or father to hammer the pieces of the kit together to complete the game. Attending were Katelyn and Scott Amero, Delaney and David Alward, Madelyn and Aaron Buzza, Alexis and Rick Getchell, Alexus LaFerriere and Daveena Waugh, Jenna and Dennis Mountain, Sydney and Jennifer Robichaud, and Amanda and Willie Winslow. In addition to the finished game, the girls each received a certificate of completion and patch for their uniforms. The troop would like to extend a sincere “thank you” to Phil Rose of Lowe’s for making the event possible! The girls and their family members had a great time.

Spring cleaning?

The Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile and ATV Club is now planning for their gigantic yard sale, which will be held in September. During spring cleaning, if residents find themselves with items they would like to donate now (no clothing please), please call Linda Pelletier at 762-3741. All proceeds will benefit the building fund.

The wait is over
