Jonah Bacon

This is the first time Easton has ever had two state presidents in consecutive years. Last year the title went to Sydney Trask.

Congratu-lations to you, Jonah. Great job and we know you will fill the position with honor. By the way, Jonah’s slogan was “Be a Good Egg and Vote for Bacon.”

One-act play

WHAT NOT TO WEAR — Cody Tompkins plays a high school senior who is interviewing with recruiter Ariana Babineau to get into college during Easton Junior Senior High School’s one-act play “Thirteen Ways to Screw Up a College Interview.” Oh no. He showed up in his PJs. That might be a no-no.

Easton once again did a tremendous job with their one-act play “Thirteen Ways to Screw Up a College Interview.” They came in second place and took a lot of other first places. They got best costume and ensemble award. Sam Fuller and Cody Tompkins also won best All-Star Cast actor award.

Other cast members for the one-act play were Holden Turner, Amanda Dayringer, Ariana Babineau, Zach Clark, Abby Poole, Melissa Pelkey, Jonah Bacon, Melissa Parlin, Katie Cyr, Mindy Desmond, Sydney Trask, Taylor Lawrence, Carla Halvorson and Jacob Bacon.

Also Debbie Rooney did a great job as their leader/director. But she always does.

Easton has a lot of mighty fine students and we are proud of you all.

EPCO Penny March

The Easton Parent Community Organization wants your pennies. They are half way into their Penny March and need your help. If you could send your pennies or whatever coins or bills you want to with one of your children or bring it into the office it would be greatly appreciated.

This year the money is going toward a new stage curtain at the elementary school. They are giving bonus credit to classes that bring in money that they don’t have to roll (coins, already rolled, bills or checks). The total can be seen on the wall leading to the cafeteria.

Kids bring in the money, they count it and divide the class totals by the number of kids … so that the per-student amount is what they go by to choose the winner. Thanks for your help.
