Antique Tractor Club offers scholarship

The Northern Maine Antique Tractor Club Scholarship is being offered to a qualified applicant who meets certain guidelines. It is available to a member of the club, a spouse, child, grandchild, niece or nephew of a member of the Club. The member must have joined one year prior to date of application.

A student who is entering college or is currently enrolled in college is eligible. The student must be matriculated (meaning he/she is in a degree program).

The institution of higher learning must be an accredited two-year or four-year institution. The scholarship recipient will be announced in the spring of the year but will not receive the scholarship until he/she has completed one semester of college.

Various selection criteria for scholarship apply, including:

• Relationship to member of the Club;

• Student is in good academic standing;

• Student is involved in extracurricular activities;

• Student does some community service;

• Student must attend an institution of higher learning with reference given to a student majoring in agriculture or a related field; and

• Student must be full-time matriculated.

Include the application, a current educational transcript, and personal statement on your career plans and goals in an envelope addressed to: Carolyn L. Cheney, chairperson of the Scholarship Committee, 66 Cedar St., Presque Isle, ME 04769.
