The Houlton 5-6 grade boys Aroostook Youth Basketball League team participated in the Old Town YMCA Tournament, finishing with a win and two losses.
In their first game, Houlton topped Caribou, 37-35 before falling to Holbrook, 32-23 and Hampden in overtime, 39-37.
Holbrook has beaten many teams by double figures this season, and the Houlton boys were within four points before Holbrook pulled away.
“The boys played really good ball,” said coach Paul Cleary.
The team is preparing for their next basketball tournament to be held in Houlton on April 1-3 at the Houlton Recreational Center.
Playing for the Aroostok Youth Basketball League 5-6 grade Houlton boys team are Colby Callnan, Lucas Porter, Nick Perfitt, Cameron Graham, Zach Hagan, Nate Mooers, Joe Dobbins, Jacob Worthley and Cameron Cleary.
