An Akita is a Japanese breed that was sent to the U.S.A. Their colors can be: white, brindle or pinto. These breeds have a long thick coat. They are large breeds. Sometimes they have a harness to help the blind like Helen Keller. These breeds can be dangerous because their big, sharp teeth, and bear like claws. They are protective over their puppies. Akitas have curly tails, pointed ears and snouts, and a sandpaper like tongue. You can walk them, give them a bath, you have to feed them and give them water too.
