Caswell first-graders write about their favorite toys

The kindergarten and first-grade students of the Caswell school worked very hard last month to write descriptive essays about their favorite toys – even looking up words in the dictionary that they weren’t certain how to spell. Because the students’ efforts are pretty exceptional for such youngsters, their work is featured exactly as it was written as a few spelling errors don’t detract from the overall quality of their pieces.

Buzz sleeps with me sometimes. I’m Buzz’s friend. He has a white space suit with purple and green stripse. He has blue, green and purple buttins. He has a smile on his face. He has a clear helmet. He is small as a crayon box. He smells minty. I can feel the buttins on him. When I play with him it sounds like somebody is throwing hard plastic on the floor. He is as hard as a shell. His eyes go a little far. His nose is pointy.

My toy Potmsprime can turn into a truck. He has armor on his chest. He is a transformer and I play with him a lot. He is gray, blue, black and yellow and red. I can bend him so he can do flips. He makes noises. He sounds like an egg breaking. He also has a logo on his arm. I move his arms. I can wiglb his arms so he can fight.

His ears are pink inside them. He has lines on his paws, they are black. Buster has a speaker inside him, it feels hard. Everywhere else it’s soft. Buster sings a dog song if you press his gold collar. He is two crayons and a pencil tall. He feels so soft. He smells like Downey. I take him outside in the summer tide on a leash from my real dog

I have a helicopter and it is blue, white and black. The propelrs are black and they go around and around. The propellers sound like a sealing fan. My helicopter looks like a whale, a fat body and skiny at the end. My helicopter isn’t just any helicopter, it is a rescue helicopter. It sounds like a helicopter when I push the buttons. The buttons are on the helicopter.

My claw is a Wolverine claw. It works by swinging it in the air. You have to strap in and hold onto it and it has Wolverine claws on it. The hand is black and it has brown straps on the arm part. It is silvor too. It smells fresh. I here claws flinging when they come out. It is hard like a rock and soft and prikoley on the vellcrow: it takes battries to make it’s fling noise. If you put the wrong battries in it will not work.

I have a stuffed dog it smells like sunshine. It’s two and a half crayons tall. It has 2 puppies atached to it. The dogs are black and white. It loks funny there are two little pupies atached on the mothers head and neck. The pupies hair is pushed down like spiders skin. The dogs are cute. The mother has a red leash. The red leash is rubber. The dogs are dalmatians. The dalmatians have black and white skin ears and eyes.
