LIMESTONE — A Spring Talent Show is slated for Saturday, May 14 to raise funds for the Relay for Life team Eaglez and the Caswell School Department’s Stage Curtain Project. Sponsored by the Limestone and Caswell recreation departments, auditions for the final show will take place on Tuesday, April 19 and Thursday, April 21 at the auditorium of the Limestone Community School. Everyone’s good at something and all are encouraged to share their talents with the greater community — there’s no entry fee.
The two age groups of the Spring Talent Show (4 through 13-year-olds and 14 and over) have the option of participating in three different categories: solo, duet and group acts. Individuals are welcome to compete in each category, but no more than one entry per category is allowed.
For talent savvy individuals who are afflicted with a bit of stage fright, event organizers are still seeking three more judges for the event and, for the mathematically inclined, two auditors are also sought to tally up contestants’ scores.
Not only will the May 14 event highlight the most talented individual in town, there will be a variety of door prizes and general surprises to fill the evening with family fun. Proceeds will benefit the Relay for Life team Eaglez and the Caswell School Department’s Stage Curtain Project.
A suggested $5 is asked of audience members the night of the show, or $20 for a family of five or more.
Prospective participants are asked to call the Limestone Recreation Department at 325-4791 for additional information regarding the Spring Talent Show or to schedule audition appointments.
