Hodgdon Mill Pond artists on display at Visions

    Hodgdon Mill Pond School has 47 students with art work on display at Visions Blue Moon Gallery Seeds of Creativity Student Art Show until May 21.
    The young artists range from Kindergarten through grade 12.  
    “Our amazing young artists are so very proud, as am I, of all of their work,” said teacher Stacey Ramsey.
    Kindergarten students worked with plaster cloth and sculpted dinosaur fossils, while grade 1 students created fantastic faces using collage and Eric Carle style painted tissue paper pictures. Grade 2 students explored the work of Georges Seurat and painted pointillist style paintings, and oil Pastels were used in grade 3 to create cave paintings on sandpaper. Students in grades 4 and 5 honed their watercolor skills.  Seascape paintings inspired by Winslow Homer were created in grade 5 while grade 4’s muse was fall.
    Middle school art ranged from 3D to 2D art and high School art consisted of a wide variety of media from chalk, acrylic, watercolor, clay, and found object.BS-visions-dc-pt-16TAKING A LOOK — Susan York points to one of her favorite drawings on the wall of Visions Blue Moon Gallery where art is on display from the southern Aroostook area until May 21.
