Talent show serves as fundraiser

PRESQUE ISLE — A fund-raiser is being planned for Saturday, with proceeds to benefit a national organization whose goal is to help cancer patients nationwide, while searching for a cure for the various forms of the disease.
“The University of Maine at Presque Isle will serve as the site for the Stars of Aroostook Cabaret Talent Show, scheduled to be held April 23 at 6 p.m. This event will be held in the University’s Wieden Auditorium and is hosted by the Relay for Life team, Raise of Hope,” said Jason Grass, event organizer.
Grass said the purpose of the event is to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
“We are asking people for a $5 donation at the event,” said Grass.
