The Stockholm Legion Auxiliary will be sponsoring a Benefit Dinner/Auction on Saturday, May 21, at the Stockholm Legion beginning at 5 p.m. This endeavor is to help raise funds to assist the Cunrod family of Caribou.

Robbie and Jessica Cunrod’s son Joshua was born on March 21, weighing only two pounds, four ounces. He has been at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor ever since and will remain there until doctors believe him big enough and strong enough to finally come home to Caribou.

With the continuing rise of the price of gas, measured against the many trips the Cundrods are making back and forth to Bangor, it is the hope of the Auxiliary members that this fundraiser dinner/auction will help defray some of this cost.

Throughout the evenining there will be door prizes and many items to bid on as well as tickets being sold for an original painting by local artist Bill Duncan. These tickets can be bought from any member or on that evening.

A special auction item available to bid on will be an autographed book by Stephan King. This item was donated as the result of Kathy Robinson, president of the Auxiliary, writing to King in regards to the benefit supper and the possibility of him sending a signed copy of one of his books.

Jessica’s Uncle Doug Michaud of “The Good Old Boys” along with some of his fellow musicians will provide music after the dinner and scrumptious desserts, provided by the ladies of the Auxiliary, sure to satisfy the sweet tooth of any diner will also be served.

The cost for the spaghetti benefit supper/auction is $7 per person; $3 for children.

Everyone is  encouraged to attend the evening event.
