BOYNTON, Rock Anthony, 50, FORT FAIRFIELD, May 9, 2011. Friends may call and services will be held Saturday, May 21, at 11 a.m., at Full Gospel Assembly, ACI St., Mars Hill.

FORT FAIRFIELD – Rock Anthony Boynton, son of Beatrice Carver Boynton & Harold Boynton and wife, Kathy, is now peacefully at camp watching over us with his many pets at his side; awaiting our arrival, he left for his trip May 9, 2011, and was born September 28, 1960, in Island Falls.

Rock attended high school in Houlton, where he earned many trophies and letters in basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, every sport available, and couldn’t wait to watch the grandkids do the same. He was currently attending Penn State to become a vet assistant and start an animal refugee at his house. He spent most of his free time either on camping/fishing trips with his family or planning for them. Anything that involved the outdoors, he was there gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, kids sporting events, barbecues, playing baseball, basketball, or just going for a hike. He also enjoyed cooking, playing poker, watching MASH, the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics play, collecting knives, guns, hats, sunglasses, sports attire and antiques. Sherry and he were always able to find the best price in town on anything!

Grandfather, father, son, friend and lover, he left many broken hearts behind including his love of 15 years, Sherilyn Bennett; son, Rock Anthony Boynton II; daughter, Malissa May Boynton, her fiancé, Rusty Johnston & their children, Mersaydez, Zaylan and Destiny; three brothers: Robin Boynton, Butch Boynton & wife, Gayna, and Tracy Boynton & wife, Emily; one sister, Barbie Merry & husband Eric; four stepchildren: Randy Lee, Shannon Nichols, Brandy Nichols & Desiree’ Bennett; 16 grandkids; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; four dogs: Brady, Jackie, Jack and Jasmine; two birds; many cats and chickens; lifetime friend, Timmy Lynds; & ex-wife and friend, Laura Boynton.

Rock had a very loving heart, great sense of humor, was very outgoing, very proud of his family and a great friend to all who knew him. He will surely live on for years to come in the hearts of all those he touched throughout the years.

Friends may call and services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Full Gospel Assembly, Aci St., Mars Hill, Maine. Following services, Rock and his family will return to Square Lake.
