Lunch and Learn job search tips well attended
On May 3rd over 20 people at the Houlton Higher Education Center heard from area employers about the things that their organization looks for from people looking for a job.
“Always be prepared to make a favorable first impression” was one of the points emphasized by the employer panel consisting of Kathleen King from WalMart, Jodi Williams from the U.S. Border Patrol and Pete Marcotte from Community Living Association. Chief Butch Asselin of the Houlton Police Department also contributed to the discussion.
This event was jointly sponsored by the University of Maine, the Maine Career Center, and the Adult Education Career Pathways initiative. For more information, contact Otis Smith at 521-3100, ext. 5.
