Dads of lady golfers will be responsible for dinner or supper, whichever you call it, each Tuesday throughout the season, as the ladies at Houlton Community Golf Course have changed their Tuesday game from the a.m. to the p.m.
The Twilight League for the gals is called “Play of the Day.”
Players are divided into divisions A-B-C based on their handicaps. The play committee will set up foursomes each week by mixing up the field. They will not be playing with the same ones each week. Players need to sign up for the next week and have up to Sunday at noon for the Tuesday play.
The Men’s Twilight League on Thursday is divided into three divisions The Shanksville Duffers, who play at 3 p.m.; the Hack Attack at 4 p.m. and The Chili Dippers at 5 p.m.

The top 13 teams qualify for the playoffs on Aug. 15. Three flight winners get first-round byes, with the championship match on Labor Day, Sept. 5.
Saturday, June 18 is the date of this year’s first scramble — four men or women’s teams — this co-ed  event allows husband and wives or just male and female friends to blame each other for missed shots. Or, it could be foursomes of the same gender to vie for prizes. Scrambles are great fun so sign up at the Pro Shop.
Tip of the week: Bring plenty of fly spray.
