Hollywood Slots promotes Houlton native

    BANGOR — Christine Hills, a native of Houlton, has been promoted to beverage manager at Hollywood Slots Hotel and Raceway. 
    The position requires Hills to be responsible for managing all beverage operations at the casino and at the facility’s lounge, the Soundstage Lounge.  Hills will be managing a team of 40-50 employees in her new position at the Bangor casino.
    “Christine Hills is an extremely dedicated employee,” said Mike Camire, director of Food and Beverage at Hollywood Slots Hotel and Raceway.  “She is very committed to excellence with a keen eye for detail and a strong rapport with her team.  Christine is a true commodity with the organization and I look forward to continuing to work with her.”

    Hills graduated from Houlton High School in 2000 and from the University of Maine in Orono with a bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2006.  She started working at Hollywood Slots Hotel & Raceway in February of 2007 as a food and beverage server and was promoted to beverage supervisor in June of 2008.  She was recently selected to assist with the opening of Hollywood Slots Hotel & Raceway’s sister property in Perryville, MD because of her extensive technical knowledge of beverage distribution systems and her commitment to providing the highest levels of customer service.
    Hills began working in her new position at the casino last month.
