Barresi and Violette honored
BANGOR — Presque Isle-based leading financial services firm, Barresi Financial, Inc., is pleased to announce that two members of its fiscal planning team have been awarded with access to the 2011 MetLife Broker-Dealer Inner Circle. Marcus Barresi and Scott Violette, two of the firm’s top financial planning representatives, have been recognized for several consecutive years with this annual distinction which is reserved for the top 100 producers in New England Securities.

Membership into the MetLife Broker-Dealer Inner Circle is a distinguished honor that encompasses exclusive access to the latest fiscal products and programs that can greatly bolster a firm’s internal growth, as well as provide invaluable guidance for its client relationship strategies.
Since being founded in 1979, Barresi Financial and Benefits Group have grown extensively, opening offices throughout Maine and adding services that have proven the firm successful. Barresi Financial prides itself on its company-wide movement of, “Expertise with Integrity,” which has helped lead them to assisting over 1,500 individuals in over 180 diverse client groups.
Founder and partner of Barresi Financial Services, Marcus Barresi graduated with a bachelor of science degree from St. Joseph’s College in North Windham, and went on to receive numerous financial designations from the American College in Pennsylvania. Barresi has retained membership in the Million Dollar Round Table for the past 20 years, is a past member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting and served as president of the Maine Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
Barresi now splits his time between the Presque Isle and Bangor offices, working with current clients and establishing new relationships throughout the state for the firm.
Scott Violette joined Barresi Financial Services in 2007. Born in Presque Isle, Violette graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Southern Maine. Since then, Violette has achieved both the State of Maine Health and Life Insurance License and Securities Registrations including the FINRA Series 7 and 66, and in June of 2010 achieved his Certified Financial Planner designation.
Violette’s primary responsibilities at Barresi are to assist employees with their retirement accounts, help clients with college funding, financial and retirement strategies, and facilitate his clients’ individual insurance needs. He works with many of Barresi’s clients, as well as developing his own clients.
Outside of Barresi Financial Services, Violette serves as a board member of the Presque Isle Rotary Club, the Presque Isle Downtown Revitalization Committee, and the Wintergreen Arts Center. He is also the chair of Momentum Aroostook, a local young professional organization. To further serve his community, Violette is also the vice chair of the Presque Isle Strategic Planning Committee and a board member of the Realize Maine Network.
