Easton rec news
The Easton Recreation Department is currently accepting registrations for all summer 2011 activities. Programs have gone out through the Elementary & Junior High Schools and additional copies are available at the Easton Town Office. If you are unable to make the scheduled registrations dates please make an appointment by calling 551-7737 or emailing eastonrec@myfairpoint.net.
Swimming lessons will be held at the Presque Isle Indoor Pool and are open to those ages four and older. Students will be split by abilities. Lessons will be held each Friday from July 1 through August 5, at 9 a.m. The cost is $22 ($18 for additional child). All other lessons will be 45-50 minutes, unless specified.

Wednesday, June 29: Cooking Camp at the Hall from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.; Dutch Soccer Camp on the Boys Soccer field at EHS from 2-4 p.m.; Major League baseball at home versus Mars Hill at 5:30 p.m. Players should be at the field by 5:10 p.m.
Thursday, June 30: Cooking Camp at the Hall from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.; Dutch Soccer Camp on the Boys Soccer field at EHS from 2-4 p.m.; Major League game at Limestone. Carpooling from the Hall at 4:45 p.m.; Minor League versus Mars Hill at home at 5:30 p.m. Players should be at the field by 5:10 p.m.
Friday, July 1: First swim lesson carpooling from the Hall at 8:30 a.m. Lessons start at 9 a.m. at the Presque Isle Indoor Pool. Pre-registration required. Open to ages four and up; Cooking Camp at the Hall from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.; Senior luncheon at the Hall starting at 11:15 a.m. The cost is $2. Any grandparents or community seniors are welcome to attend; Dutch Soccer Camp from 2-4 p.m.
Tuesday, July 5: Day Camp at the Hall from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. Today we’ll picking strawberries, please send money for berries with your child; Field Days Laser Tag at the Elementary School from 5:30-9 p.m. Children under 12 will play from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. for $7 and kids over 12 from 7-9 p.m. at a cost of $10. Field Days Basketball Tournament; there will be four games played at Easton High School from 4:15 to 9 p.m. as part of Easton Field Days. Concessions will be sold; entrance fee is $1. Softball games at 6 p.m. the Fire Department versus River de Chuteand at 7:15 p.m. Dan Ferris, Inc. vs. Recreation Department.
