NEW SWEDEN — The Arootsakoostik Music Festival is gearing up to rock Thomas Park once more on Saturday, July 9 with a full day of music featuring Maine artists.
Gates open at 9:30 a.m. and the tunes begin at 10, continuing through the day until 8 p.m., rain or shine.
Festival-goers are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the event’s food drive, held every year since the festival’s inception to help the local pantry.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Caribou Children’s Museum and the restoration of Thomas Park .
“We have something for everyone and hope to see you out there!” said festival founder and musician Travis Cyr.
Tickets are $15, and kids under 12 get in free. Special limited edition advanced tickets are on sale at Morningstar Gallery in Presque Isle and at the Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce.
