Volunteers needed to raise barn

LIMESTONE — Rome wasn’t built in a day, but a new barn in Limestone will be.

Volunteers with the Limestone-Caswell Historical Society’s are hosting a Barn Raise on Wednesday, July 27, aiming to erect a much needed Pole-Barn on the site to protect and preserve the museum’s larger antiques.

“Volunteers are needed and would be very welcome to help with the barn-raising,” said Project Leader Fred Edgecomb.

Food and drink for the volunteer work crew will be provided by Historical Society members and friends.

A rain date for the event is currently set for Thursday, July 28, and donations for the project are still being accepted.
