KINNEY, Barbara J., 79, WASHINGTON & WESTFIELD, August 7, 2011. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service. A committal service will be held at a later date at Marshall Cemetery, Westfield.

WASHINGTON & WESTFIELD – Barbara J. Kinney, 79, died August 7, 2011, at home, after a long illness. She was born December 4, 1931, in Westfield, the daughter of Russell and Annetta Allen.

Barbara was a 1949 graduate of Presque Isle High School. After graduating, she married the love of her life, Charles D. Kinney. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Union and Meenahga Grange.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles of Washington; four children: a daughter, Wanda and her husband, Gary Sainio of Washington, and three sons, Russell Kinney and his wife, Denise of Old Orchard Beach, Michael Kinney of Tucson, Ariz., and Douglas Kinney of Washington; five grandchildren: Garth Sainio and his wife, Caitlin, Tara Sainio and her fiancé, Jason Miller, Sasha Yeaton and her husband, Matthew, Brent Kinney, and Stephanie Kinney; five great-grandchildren: Heath and Craig Sainio, Kyle and Dylan Bealieu, and Madison Yeaton; her sister, Pauline Kennedy; several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Charles Allen.
