FLINT, Charles R., 58, PRESQUE ISLE, at Ashland, August 19, 2011. Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside committal service at the Willard Cemetery on River Rd., in Oxbow at 2 p.m., on Sat., Aug. 27. A gathering for family and friends will be held at Dalton Inn, Masardis Rd., Ashland, immediately after the service. Arrangements are in the care of Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, Ashland.
PRESQUE ISLE – Charles R. Flint, 58, died unexpectedly August 19, 2011, in Ashland. He was born in Ashland, June 20, 1953, the son of Robert and Frances (Picard) Flint, Sr.
He was a graduate of Ashland High School and worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator in the lumber industry. Charlie loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, riding around on woods roads with his constant companion, his dog Rocky. He was a kind-hearted friend to many, was known for being a prankster, but always had a smile for everyone.
Charlie is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Labbe and husband, Billy of Ashland; a step-son, Robert Duperry, Jr., of Glenburn; the mother of his daughter and step-son, Wanda Hazlett of Presque Isle; two brothers, Wayne Flint of Portage Lake and Robert Flint, Jr. of Nashville Plantation; two sisters, Helen Henderson of Milo and Sandra Rouse of Veazie; eight grandchildren, Kelsey, Ramsey, Kylie, Brandy, Brandon, Ashlee, Jase and Mckenna; an uncle, Gene Picard of Westfield, an aunt, Cleo Bernier of Ashland; and several nieces and nephews.
