Lawrence and Constance Duchette of Portage Lake are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Jonathan Duchette to Ashley Young, daughter of Peter Young of Westwood, MA, and Linda Young of Westford, MA.

Jonathan is a 2002 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and a 2006 graduate of Bates College with a bachelor’s degree in geology. He is currently employed as production manager for Oldcastle Lawn & Garden in Poland Spring and is also pursuing an MBA in operations & supply chain management at Southern New Hampshire University.

Ashley is a 2003 graduate of Westford Academy in Westford, MA, a 2007 graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, MA, with a bachelor’s degree in biology, and a 2011 graduate of the University of Maine with a master’s degree in oceanography. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in teaching also at the University of Maine and is working towards certification for teaching secondary math and science. She is employed by the University of Maine as a teaching assistant.

A summer 2013 wedding is planned.
