Outdoor Safety Classes

ATV Safety Course
    An ATV Safety Course is set for Saturday, Aug. 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hodgdon Fire Department.
    Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is sponsoring the course. For more information or to register, call John Cleary at 532-3174.
    Students 10-12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the full program. There is a limit of 40 students.
Trapping class
    The Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will hold a Trapping course if anyone is interested during the month of August.

Hunter Safety Course
    A Hunter Safety Course will be offered on September 11, 18 and 25 at the Island Falls Fish & Game Clubhouse.
    On Sept. 11 and 18, the course will run from 12-3 p.m. and on Sept. 25 from 12-4 p.m.
    Instructor will be Peter Blood with assistance from game wardens, nurses, members from the sponsoring Island Falls Fish & Game Club and Free-Wheelers Club.
    Blood believes in hands-on and outdoor learning as much as possible. One may register by phone at 463-3542. Class limited to 21 students.
    Cost is free, but students need to provide their own compass.
