From towing a vehicle to repairing a problem under the hood, Jerry’s Towing, Repair & Used Cars strives to please.
Located at 78 Houlton Road in Presque Isle, the business is entering its 22nd year.
“When I first started, it was just towing,” said owner Jerry Palmer.
“Over the years it’s grown to include automotive repairs, painting, auto body repairs, auto sales and motorcycle sales — with two motorcycle lines under our roof.
“We have good, clean cars we acquire through dealer trade-ins or at auctions and we’ll take anything in on trade,” he said. “Today, more people are buying used. All of our cars are fully serviced and inspected before they are sold.”
Jerry’s is the only towing service in Presque Isle contracted with AAA and Allstate. They service other roadside assistance programs, as well.
“We have two car carriers, one wrecker, and one service truck,” said Palmer. “We’re here 24/7/365 to serve you as suddenly as possible.”
Jerry’s also offers a complete, full service body shop, which offers restoration services, glass replacement, collision repair, and refinishing.
“We sell both new and used motorcycles,” Palmer said. “We’ve added the Sunny Sports line this year. It’s a nice complement to the Hyosung brand that we brought on board in 2010.”
“With us, customer service is number one. For example, when a customer’s had a fender bender or a breakdown and he/she calls us, we get there as soon as physically possible,” he said. “Once we’re on the scene, we’re as courteous and understanding as we can be,” he said..
“That customer’s already having a bad day, so I do my best to calm them down and try to make their day a little nicer. And to all our customers, THANK YOU. My business is nothing without YOU,” said Palmer.
Jerry’s Towing, Repair & Used Cars is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
