The Houlton High School golf team is 1-1 on the season, as the Shires fell to visiting Presque Isle last Friday, 174-189.
Presque Isle’s Evan Waddell was the low medalist shooting a 35.
Scores for the 3-0 Wildcats were: Connor Shaw, 43; Adam Flynn, 47; Gabe Player, 49; Matt Sullivan, 49; Mike Boone, 49; Jenna Hallett, 51 and Cody Merrill, 53.
Leading Houlton shooters were Cameron Clark with a 44, followed by Alex Donovan with a 45; Cole McLaughlin, 48; Lucas Peabody, 52 and Isaac Brown, 61.
Houlton opened its season in Fort Kent last Tuesday with a win, as the Shiretowners topped the 0-3 Warriors, 186-220.
Houlton’s McLaughlin was the low medalist scoring a 40.
Other scores for Houlton included: Doug Dickison, 44; Clark, 48 and Donovan, 54.
For Fort Kent, Alex Chasse was their low man with a score of 46, while Ali Prescott had a 52; Bryce Carter, 60; Ryan Reiff, 62; B. Prescott, 74 and Nick Litersky, 76.
