BS-Adult Ed-dcx-pt-38On Friday, Sept.16, the Houlton Higher Education Center College Transitions class completed a week of college “Boot Camp”. During a week of mental and emotional preparation for college, topics covered were “Applying for Federal Financial Aid,” “College Application,” “Time Management,” “Career Exploration,” “Study Skills” and “Computer Essentials for College.” The students will visit college campuses in Presque Isle this fall and continue to work on their academic skills until the College Access Program (CAP) graduation on Dec. 1. They plan to begin college in January or September 2012.  For more information about becoming a member of the College Transitions next semester, contact Phil Gulliver or Bernadette Farrar at the Houlton Higher Education Center at 521-3100 x5.
