CARIBOU — It wasn’t your typical night at the races Saturday as Spud Speedway held its “Day of Destruction” in front of about 600 to 700 spectators.

Regular racing was replaced with chain, bag and bomber races, capped off with a demolition derby. Track owner Troy Haney says the racers and fans look forward to this fun day of racing, which marks the end of the season for Spud Speedway.
