CARIBOU — After 25 years directing the annual Turkey Trot race in Caribou, Dan Harrigan and his family have stepped down, but not to worry the event will continue.
New race director Evan Graves says this year’s race will go off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Caribou High School. Registration starts at 8 a.m.
The course will remain the same, as will the awards and the post-race meal of turkey pizza from Reno’s.
Graves said one change will be a fund-raising component to the event, which will be announced next week.
This year will also feature a team component according to Graves. There will be a men, women and family team category. The family category is defined as three, but larger families can sign up with only the top three finishers counting.
The Aroostook Musterds sholarship winner will be announced during the awards ceremony after the race.
A long sleeve T-shirt will be available to the first 50 runners to register.
