he Farmers Market at Aroostook Milling was a big hit this past Saturday. The winner of the Thanksgiving meal give-away, including a locally raised turkey, was Sharol Putnam of Hodgdon. Vendors sold roasting chickens, root vegetables, pumpkins, squash, onions, potatoes, apples, breads, baked goods, honey, jams, pickles and wreaths. The pre-Thanksgiving market was sponsored by the Southern Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District and Aroostook Milling.
