FORT FAIRFIELD — Police are investigating the theft of several halogen spotlights from a public venue and are asking for the public’s help in apprehending the person(s) responsible.
According to Police Chief Bill Campbell, the thefts occurred at the F.A.R.M. Park on the West Limestone Road during a three-week period. The absence of the lights was not immediately noticed until recently because the park is infrequently used during fall and winter months.
Included in the thefts were two halogen spotlights removed from the pavilion, as well as two additional lights from the storage area inside. In all, over $1,000 worth of lighting was removed.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the FFPD at 472-3808 or the Aroostook County Crimestoppers at 800-638-TIPS.
