LIMESTONE — Delores V. (Hafford) Hamilton, 64, passed away Tuesday morning, November 22, 2011, at a Caribou healthcare facility, following an extended illness. She was born July 31, 1947, in Masardis, the daughter of Fredrick Sr. and Eva Mae (Bolstridge) Hafford. Delores was educated in the Masardis, Ashland and Presque Isle school systems and had been employed by Fiber Materials, Presque Isle, Kelley’s Restaurant, Limestone for several years and also held several positions at the former Loring Air Force Base, working in their housekeeping department and also working for a time as an electrician’s assistant. In addition to her parents, Delores was predeceased by an infant daughter, Peggy Jo Hafford; and one brother, Fredrick Hafford Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Todd Hafford and his wife, Michelle of Limestone, Carlton Wayne “Skeeter” Hamilton and his wife, Kristie of Cranberry, New Jersey; one daughter, Connie Hamilton and her husband, Joey of Limestone; four brothers, Edward Hafford and Daniel Hafford, both of Wisconsin, Howard Hafford and his wife, Barbara of California, Timothy Hafford and his wife, Anita of Fryburg; four sisters, Jenny Clark of Masardis, Joyce Hafford of Connecticut, Rose Hafford of Ashland, Susan York and her husband, Edwin of Sweden, Maine; one grandson, Tyler Broome of Limestone; numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Mrs. Hamilton’s wishes, a graveside service will be held in the spring at the Masardis Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Delores to the Jefferson Cary Foundation, P.O. Box 89, Caribou, 04736. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
