PRESQUE ISLE — A 31-year-old local man wanted in connection with a home invasion on Nov. 20 contacted police through his attorney a few days after the incident.
“Jeffrey Sock, of Presque Isle, made contact with the Presque Isle police through an attorney and will be charged accordingly,” read a post on the department’s Facebook wall on Nov. 22.
Police records indicated Sock was wanted in connection with a home invasion on Winter Street where he reportedly kicked in the door and assaulted the resident’s boyfriend. Sock fled the scene prior to police arriving to investigate. A warrant was sought for Sock’s arrest, with charges including burglary, assault and criminal mischief.
