UMFK downs UMPI men
PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine-Fort Kent men’s basketball team hit 12-of-13 shots from three-point range to defeat the host University of Maine-Presque Isle on Saturday afternoon, 80-58.
One highlight for the Owls was provided by big 7-6 freshmen Robert Wegner, who was able to break free for a dunk that momentarily fired up the Wieden Gym crowd.
The Owls take a break from game action for the rest of December and will return to the court for a home game against Houghton (NY) College on Thursday, Jan. 5. Tip time is set for 6 p.m.
